All of the JG Percussion mallets in the Michael Oberaigner Signature series are made by hand from strong, hand-selected bamboo that is perfectly balanced and expertly matched.
Mallets with a ball-stick design (MO 1-5) are hand-sewn with the highest quality soft German felt. Models MO 6-10 feature layers of leather, sponge, and soft flannel.
Models MO 1-5 are made from bamboo 10mm in diameter, and models MO 6-10 are made from bamboo 11mm in diameter. Each stick is about 37cm long, and each mallet comes fitted with green mallet grips.
MO10 “Mahler” Large Large flannel discs with a super-soft material, for a wider and darker sound. “This stick is bigger – and therefore softer – which gives a nice dark, round sound. It works well for the solos in Symphony no. 1 and Symphony no. 5.” – Michael Oberaigner
