Crafted for professional and advanced players, these mallets provide a rich, warm tone with precise articulation. They are available with either rattan or birch shafts to accommodate different playing styles.
Nancy Zeltsman Graduated Set
The Encore Nancy Zeltsman Graduated Set was devised to provide an affordable means to try a graduated set if you haven’t already done so. This is a combination of mallets Nancy uses about 60% of the time, naturally ‘voicing’ most chord playing. In essence, this graduated set is an example of the way the entire line was designed to best flatter different registers of the instrument.

NZ2B – Medium Harder
NZ3B – Medium Hard
NZ4B – Medium
NZ6B – Articulate Bass
All mallets feature Birch Handles.
One unique characteristic of this mallet line is the oval-shaped mallet head, positioned horizontally rather than vertically. This design is intended to activate more of the vertical grains of wood in every bar, contributing to a richer tone. From the cores, to the latex, to the type of yarn, every aspect of construction is aimed at helping the player produce a fundamental-rich tone.
