The 18 Sound 12MB777-8 is a 12-inch midbass driver renowned for its high sensitivity and robust power handling capabilities. With an impressive sensitivity of 101.5 dB 1W/1m, this driver is versatile, being suitable as either a bass/mid driver in compact 2-way reflex enclosures or as a dedicated midrange driver in multi-way concert and arena systems. It features a curvilinear paper cone made from high-strength wood pulp, designed for linearity and to control bell-mode resonances. The cone is supported by a durable linen-like multiroll suspension. The state-of-the-art 75 mm voice coil is wound with aluminum wire and utilizes Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil (ISV) technology for a mass-balanced coil, resulting in an extremely linear motor assembly. This woofer’s performance is further enhanced by the Double Demodulating Rings (DDR), reducing intermodulation and harmonic distortion.
